Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about CrewNest, from getting started to getting paid.

CrewNest is an AI-powered marketplace built exclusively for airline crew members. We connect pilots, first officers, and flight attendants with verified crash pads, private rooms, and short-term housing near major U.S. airport hubs. Think of it as Airbnb built specifically for the aviation community — with crew-only verification, AI-powered matching, and secure Stripe payments. Our tagline says it best: "Home base, everywhere."

CrewNest serves two types of users. Crew members — active pilots, first officers, flight attendants, and other cabin crew employed by commercial airlines operating under FAA Part 121 or Part 135 certificates. All crew must pass our verification process before they can book. Hosts — property owners or authorized managers who want to list their space for crew housing. Hosts must complete a background check via Checkr and set up Stripe Connect payouts before their listing can go live.

CrewNest is purpose-built for airline crew, which means several key differences. First, every guest is a verified crew member — no random tourists or party-goers. Second, our AI-powered matching analyzes your schedule, base, and preferences to find your ideal crash pad. Third, listings are tailored to crew needs like hot beds, quiet hours for irregular sleep schedules, and proximity to the airport. Fourth, pricing is designed for crew budgets, not vacation pricing. Fifth, all hosts undergo background checks via Checkr. Finally, the entire experience is designed to pass the "exhausted pilot at 2am" test — simple, fast, and reliable.

No. CrewNest is for all airline crew members, including pilots, first officers, flight attendants, flight engineers, and other cabin crew. Any crew member employed by a commercial airline and holding valid crew identification can sign up and get verified. We are also open to airline dispatchers, mechanics, and other aviation professionals — contact us at support@crewnest360.com to discuss eligibility.

CrewNest is launching in Miami, FL (MIA hub) in Q3 2026 — the most expensive and competitive crew housing market in the country. We plan to expand to other major hub cities shortly after launch, including Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK/LGA/EWR), Charlotte (CLT), Denver (DEN), and Los Angeles (LAX). If you want CrewNest in your hub city, let us know at support@crewnest360.com.

You can reach us several ways. Our AI Support Chat is available 24/7 within the platform for instant answers. Creating an account and browsing listings is completely free. When you make a booking, CrewNest charges a 10% guest service fee on top of the listing price. This fee covers platform operations, AI matching, customer support, and dispute protection. Hosts pay a separate 3% processing fee deducted from their payout, which covers payment processing and payout administration. There are no signup fees, monthly charges, or hidden costs.
